Misery Brook is one of the many tributaries of the Quinnipiac River. All the brooks and streams that flow into the Quinnipiac are important to its health. Many of these brooks flow through suburban backyards and will carry pollutants from those areas. Misery brook has been impacted north of here from the filling of its wetlands. Wetlands help remove pollutants and maintain a steady source of water for the river.
